New life at The Lamb

We’d like to wish the very best of success to the team at The Lamb in Shipton-Under-Wychwood, a village not far from Stonesfield, as they work to reopen their pub.

There’s an inspiring article about their plans on the OxInABox website.

The article begins:

‘It’s all go at the 16th century Lamb in Shipton-Under-Wychwood. The roofer has just arrived while I’m talking to new landlords Peter Creed and Tom Noest, and builders can be heard at work all over the site.

But then there’s a lot to do. The kitchen is in complete disrepair, the loos are worse, the roof has fallen in and the bedrooms are uninhabitable, so with plans to reopen the pub by June 21, it’s a case of all hands on deck.

“We have certainly hit the ground running,” Pete grins, “but we love pubs Tom and I, and there is real value in breathing life into neglected pubs that haven’t been loved for a long time.’

Peter and Tom have their heart in the renovation and we wish them all the best for the reopening.
