Steve Callaghan - Chair
Lived in Stonesfield for over 25 years, in The Ridings. Having seen The Black Head sadly closed he is very keen not to lose the last remaining pub in the same way. To distinguish him from the many other Steve's living in the village he is generally known as Watford Steve due to his support for Watford FC.
Susan Rudlin - Vice Chair & Fundraising
I’ve been firmly rooted in Stonesfield since I moved here aged 6. My professional career in multi-site facilities management has recently given way to a new found love of chemistry (BSc) and food science (MSc) and I’ve now reached the heady heights of being a brewer’s apprentice – for my dad (who lives here too)! The opportunity we have to breathe new life into the pub is a cause I’m passionate about – I believe the White Horse could be a really special place at the centre of our community for everyone.
Julie Curran - Business Planning
Julie and her family moved to Stonesfield from Glasgow. They sat in the beer garden 9 years ago when deciding which village to move to and the friendly people they met that day were a major factor in choosing Stonesfield!!! Now Julie would like a glass of wine or a pint and the newspaper at The White Horse when it reopens!!!
Peter Smyth - Treasurer
Peter moved to Stonesfield in 2017 with his wife, Laura. He loved having The White Horse as a focal point to get to know the village, to meet and socialise with his neighbours and to enjoy a beer and a bite to eat.
Claire Renshaw - Project Management
Claire has been a project manager in third sector for many years and is now at the University of Oxford. She moved to Stonesfield in 2011 with her three children and Paul joined them a couple of years later. Claire has always been involved in community projects from youth clubs to PCC. She truly believes we need our village pub and is very happy to be a part of making it happen.
