Tenancy, Artweeks and AGM update

We’ve been working towards securing a suitable tenant to take on the running of our precious community pub, and after giving due consideration to all the applicants, the committee have offered the tenancy to Craig Tipper, who successfully managed The Black Prince in Woodstock with Barbara Leahy for several years before it was sold and closed down. Barbara is planning to join Craig at the White Horse.

We are currently working through the details and hope over the coming weeks to agree and sign a tenancy agreement for an initial three year period. If all is agreed, Craig and Barbara will be looking to hire kitchen and front of house staff for the pub, and details will appear on our website and social media very soon.

In the meantime we will be opening as a temporary cafe for Artweeks in May, and a huge thank you to all the volunteers who are helping to redecorate the pub in time for this to happen. We have over 20 local artists showcasing their beautiful work on our newly painted walls. Claire will be running the cafe with help from our wonderful volunteers, and opening times are Wednesday to Sunday 11-4pm.

Notice of Annual General Meeting: Our Annual General Meeting will be held at the Stonesfield Village Hall, Field Close, Stonesfield, Witney OX29 8HA on Monday 20 May at 8pm.

So, exciting times ahead, and our grateful thanks go to you all for your support both in the pub itself and behind the scenes as we work towards a full reopening. We'll let you know more details and dates as soon as they are confirmed.
